Guest goldraven Posted August 19, 2004 Share Posted August 19, 2004 I was watching CNN two nights ago and they were going over some part of florida that was hit really bad, all the buildings were totally trashed. The cool part was, the tallest structure in the entire shot was a Car lift with a 240Z STILL ON IT! it still had all of it's windows, i couldnt believe it. the building surrounding the Z was totally gone, but the car lift and the Z were there, Z looked like it was doing ok too. clarkspeed Posted August 21, 2004 Share Posted August 21, 2004 Whew! I can wait another 40 years before that happens again. I was very lucky through all of this. Didn't even lose power. Spent 2 days cleaning up the yard though. Lost my DSL. Seems the storm was so compact, moving so fast, that West Orlando didn't get any more than 50-60 MPH winds. I couldn't have been more than 10 miles from the eye. The east side of a huricane is always more brutal. If any of you Florida dudes need help, let me know.
