Wow those almost look like they might fit on the 280ZX's with the big steering gear box set ups.... :D Which would make sense now because I built my own header!:lol:

If those ram horns would work on my car I would take the headers I have on it now off an put those on(after I sent them out to JETHOT to be coated). They will probably flow just as good as a set of block huggers but they will be quiter because they are thicker. I like the sleeper effect but with headers on my car its kind of hard to pull that off.

Are these still a "maybe" as far as a production piece? Thats kinda what I got out of the posts on that site.

Thanks, those look really nice. The link from the original post doesn't work for me, oh well. I had rams horn manifolds before, and the change to blockhuggers was noticeable, although I did the whole exhaust together so hard to tell how much was the headers. These look great though, and w/ 2.5" collectors too. I'd consider going back to a set of these if my headers ever go.

I just look at the Speedway Motors site and they are avaliable. I also just emailed them to see what kind of measurements they have on them. I think for the 280ZX's with the big ol' gear box steering set up there is about 2"-2.25" of clearance between the bare head and the gear box at the center ports. Man if these fit that sure would make it nice for the guys looking for a set of manifolds that would flow decent and they arent too expesive(if you ask me) and if you thermal coated them they sure would look nice! :D

ps. I'll post what info I get as soon as I get it! :D

Well here are the measurements that they gave me....

new_ram_horns_measurements-436x139.jpg

*The red is from the mating surface to the farthest part sticking out on the center ports.

*The green is from the center of the bolt holes to the top of the manifold

*The blue is from the center of the bolt holes to the bottom of the collector.

I just measured the distance from the center ports on my head the gear box and its about 2.75". So it doesnt look like this will work for us 280ZX guys.
