Mikelly Posted September 9, 2004 Share Posted September 9, 2004 I'll have an original Scarab in my garage for some upgrades for one of our members here soon, probably end of the month. I'll take lots of pics... Jim Mcnemar's car will be getting a host of upgrades, to include coil overs, struts, five lug conversion, quafe equipped R200 conversion with CVs, big brake kit, and that is in phase one... Then we'll do the JTR conversion, and swap out his tranny for a Gforce, and make the required driveshaft and exhaust changes for the swap. Should be fun! SportZ2 Posted September 9, 2004 Share Posted September 9, 2004 Mike, is the Scarab Z a true documented Scarab conversion (what number is it)? If it is I would think the value would be much better if he left it alone. With all the changes that are being done, he'd be better off buying a 240Z shell and go from there wouldn't you think. There probably aren't that many true Scarabs out on the road. And that car on ebay doesn't seem to have any Scarab look to it other than it has a V8 in it.
