280z afm question!help!

Hi:

I'm new here,also new owner of a stock 280zx as well,my car is JDM spec which has a L20e motor,just wondering will a L28 AFM direct replace the L20 AFM,or whatelse I need to do ?

Hmm.. L20e.. 4 cylinder then? I would guess no.. I tried running an AFM from a 4 cyl in my 280z (when I was still trying to make it run with the stock *yuch* FI) and it doesnt work properly. Just reved up and down. I assume a 6 cyl is gona need more air and what not, so a 4 cyl AFM would be sending the wrong signal to the ecu, causing it to become.. confused. :lol: I'm not saying for sure though..

hi,my car is 6 cylinder,L20e,which I think is same as R30 skyline,

any idea?

according to what you said,basically,a bigger AFM from a similar engine(i.e replace AFM from rb25det-->rb20det) will bolt straight on and work fine?

please somebody advise me!
