wigenOut-S30
ok guys.. I now have power again and cable.. We REALLY REALLY got lucky here in Mobile AL. The eye jogged east and landed over Gulf shores AL.. (my home town) I have seen video of fly overs of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.. OMG.. It is soo messed up.. My house made it fine . I have a few shingles gone and my next door neighbor has a couple of trees down. His gate looks like someone drover though it.. All in all.. we are ok here.. I really feel for my home town witch looks more like a ruins. I also really feel for Pensacola. They got hit really hard. Please keep all of us in your hearts as well as all of the FL people out there.

Guest Aaron
I have been thinking about you guys on the coast all weekend. Glad you made it OK. What used to be the eye basically passed over my house Thursday night. It was still a tropical storm at that point (approx 280 miles inland). It was one of the most amazing weather events I have been through. I cannot imagine what it was like on the coast. Don't we have another member or two along the gulf coast? J Taylor
There are a few more of us along the gulf coast. Couldn't tell you what it was like though as I slept right through it. LOL. Went to sleep at 11 right before it got bad and woke up at 5 to see the damage (several trees, one of which landed on one of my 240z parts cars, and a storage building almost pushed over). Us in Mobile got very lucky, the huricane turned slightly right before it hit us, everything east of us got it pretty bad from what I understand. Phantom
My wifes family lives in Pensacola. So far all of their homes have reported in ok although they are all dealing with no power, no water, etc. One sister has a condo out on Perdido Key near the flori=bama area which is probably the worst hit area. It is on th elagoon side rather than the gulf side so it may have survived. I'm just thankful that no one was hurt and that only the trees took a beating - no other wind or water damage to the primary dwellings - even one home that was in Navy Point had the water stop just before it came inside.
