Xander
Hi, I have recently bought a HKS EVC electronic boost controller (first type) of ebay. It lookst great but I would like to know if there is a way to test the unit out of the car. I don't think my turbo engine will be ready anytime soon. If I aply 12 volt to the system it lights up fine and all the buttons work. But the valve just makes a clicking sound and it doesn't react to diferent settings . I would like to find a way to make sure its working before I start installing it. Any thoughts?
Tony240ZT
I may be a bit of an optimist, but it sounds like it's working fine. There isn't an easy way to test it on the bench, as far as I know. After you install it in the car the clicking/pulsing will modulate. If you need help hooking up the vacuum hoses do a search on here, there has been talk about it.
Xander
thanks for your reply. We will see how it turns out when the engine is finished. I have downloaded the manual so hooking it up should not be a problem.
