rustrocket
Where's the best (preferably economical) place to buy complete weatherstripping kits? Thanks guys. edit: for my 1973 240z
Guest 77vegasz
Motorsport Automotive and Victoria British both sell complete and partial kits. Both are close in price, but I found VB to be a little cheaper. E-bay occasionally has sets at decent prices. Jon
baddriver
Check out the thread in misc. tech titled "240Z replacement weatherstrip experiences so far" It's easy to find. I think if you're willing to do your homework, http://www.Mcmaster.com and JCwhitney will yeild the best prices, but you have to hunt down the proper seal based on the side profile. That thread has a few part numbers listed to get you started.
Tim240z
I got mine from JC Whitney. Works great!
Heavy Z
I've done the same as Tim with good success on the doors and engine compartment. MUCH cheaper this way. Tim, which one did you use arond your rear hatch? Thanks
Tim240z
I bought a kit for the entire car (Precision, I think), and all the pieces fit great except the door gaskets. They were too fat and made the door near impossible to close. I replaced those with JCW stuff......
JaysZ
would you happen to have the part #'s from JCW or precision? I saw some kits on ebay for $185 which seems to be a helluva lot cheaper than MSA. From the 3 different people on ebay that sold them, all used the same picture. Which company made those kits? Anyone know? I want to buy the entire kit and get whichever door seals work the best. Thanks
