Turning a chevy 350 by hand

Hi list,

This might be the dumb question of the week but, whats the best way to turn a 350 to loosen the torque converter from the flywheel? My L-26 had a big bolt or nut on the end of the crankshaft. The 350 has a pulley with 4 little bolts and something like a big round weight behind it. I don't want to throw something out of balance. Should I remove the bottom pulley? Will it come off easily? Or should I take a big pry bar to the flywheel?

TIA

Even better than Tim's suggestion is a dedicated flywheel turner. Pick one up from the tool truck or I know Harbor freight has them. Most parts stores as well. If you loosen the belts and pull the plugs, most likely you can push the flywheel by hand and rotate the engine.
