Guest socket_toomee
I think its BP Australia who are no longer going to produce lead replacement petrol, so can someone tell me what i would have to do to my engine so that i could run it on unleaded petrol
Xander
My guess is You don't have to do anything. The L engines can be run without lead additives. I have been running my L28 with unleaded for 2 years now. no problem. The brochure from my datsun laurel ( 4 door saloonwith a L24) even says that the engine can be run on LPG. BrandonsZ
Lead in the petrol cushions the valves against the seats, you may eventually need a vavle job where they would install hardened valve seats, otherwise you shouldn't worry about it. It's nothing to worry about. But congratulate your legislaters now your children will be much less likely to be born misformed.
