Guest ZFanatic Posted December 11, 2004 Share Posted December 11, 2004 i have a 300ZX with the original engine. suppossedly it blew the head gasket (this per previous owner) and i figured it would be "fun" to tinker with. he dimantled some of the engine and i am, of course, strachting my head trying to figure out how to put everything back together. i've heard that if it was the HG then i should smell or see antifreeze in the oil which i do not. the question is, since he took the valve cover off the right side of the engine (the cover with the oil cap) how in the h**l do i put the rocker arms back on? one side of the arm is smooth and flat...the other side is curved and has X's on it.
