Guest ON3GO
Totally wicked set-up....wow! the hood is longer that I thought to fit the straight six PLUS the IC laying horizontal....great conversion. Yasin theres plenty of room if you get rid of the direct fan, hugh shroud, and radiator. so the V-mount works and fits very well in those cars. i remember when i was working on my friends 1JZ-GTE SC300 and all i kept saying was WOW theres alot of space up front. mike
Guest zfan
I just bought my Mothers 1997 SC300. It has 31 thousand original miles and always is garaged. An absolute cream puff. One question in an earlier post someone said it has a 1jz motor in them. Mine says it is a 2JZ motor. What if any difference is there? Guest ON3GO
1JZ is what came in them in japan. its a 2.5 twin turbo motor.. very very sweet! i like it better then the 2JZ as it revs higher, faster, and is just as strong. its more of a road racing motor, well because it is. all USDM SC300's came with a n/a 2JZ-GE which is the same thing as the N/A Supra. still great motors and plenty strong. not sure what years SC300's came with the VVTI or whatever its called. heres a pic of my friends 1JZ swapped SC300 mike
datsun327
you have a NA block but i think everything else is the same from the 2jz-gte (supra) motor . its just that block is a little weaker like i said before i think, can anyone second my statement.
