Guest ON3GO
Guys on my blue Z with the L28ET i still run the 77 ecu and harness. from what ive been told i dont think anybody else on here runs that.. i have heard of ppl but not on here. anyways thing is the car would run great on boost but not great off, i had bad MPG and would run pig rich all the time. now i didnt care much with my old motor but i have a new 0 motor im putting in and i want to keep this motor for a long long time. so heres the thing i have a MSD 6-BTM unit, so that takes care of the spark and timing but im still releying on my n/a ecu to controll fuel for a boosted motor. so i was thinking of a fuel only controller.. something that will just take care of my fuel and ill pretty much have a cheap ems... thing is i cant find many, the ones i do find are very pricey, and i dont know where to look. also if ppl think its a bad idea please tell me, if im forgetting something i need to buy to make this whole setup work then please tell me so also. i wanna get this car running perfect so i dont have to deal with it anymore. mike
Jolane
Fuel Only...How about the Megasquirt? There is another link around here with a nice discussion going on. Since you have the intake, injectors, and the such, this shouldn't be a hard thing to do. It is about as cheap as it gets for EFI I think... Joshua I have one that has been fully assembled and tested (including stimulator board and relay board) I may be willing to part with...I am going a different direction with a Holley C950.
