AgentZ
Hey there I brought a car with what seems questionable suspension. It has adjustable shocks all round but the "dial" type fitting on the top of the front shocks is gone! and it feels SEVERLY out of balance. Is there anyway I can measure this to get them even all round? Or do to the missing dials on the front set, will I have to replace them? datsunlover
Are you sure you don't have a broken spring up front? Seems odd to me that the car could be 'out of balance' enough for you to feel it just because of differing strut settings.. I'd try to find out what brand the struts are anyway.. you may be able to get new dials, or find something to 'stick in there' to use for adjustment..OR... maybe you could pop off the dials from the rear and use them to adjust the front? AgentZ
Cheers for the rapid reply, the dials are on the bottom of the rears, but on the top og the fronts, I will get a pic if I can to show you what I mean. Also while I am here, where can I get a new diff mount for an 82 280ZX? Cant find one on MSA's web site! Cheers!
260DET
The mount should be available from Nissan. Pics of the shocks would be good.
