Unfortunately very illegal and easy for the cell phone companies to triangulate your position. Would want to use sparingly and in an unpredictable fashion. Such a device would only be powered up to knock the service out for one person for just a moment the turned off as the person leaves the room to get better "reception" EDIT: If you are interested, this is what the FCC has to say about RF communications and jammers. A different news article says no one has ever been charged for cell phone jamming so maybe they don't enforce it very aggresively. Guest 240zJake Posted January 20, 2005 Share Posted January 20, 2005 My thought is the FCC is not worried if one or two users in a small area lose service for a short time, however if one were to jam communications for a large area or for a large number of people then the FCC would be interested in prosecution.
