shushing cell phone users

Most definately illegal if it was a higher power I think, but this has very low power only has a couple of meter range. Such a device would only be powered up to knock the service out for one person for just a moment the turned off as the person leaves the room to get better "reception"

Says it is illegal to even advertise to sell such a device. A different news article says no one has ever been charged for cell phone jamming so maybe they don't enforce it very aggresively.

My thought is the FCC is not worried if one or two users in a small area lose service for a short time, however if one were to jam communications for a large area or for a large number of people then the FCC would be interested in prosecution. That is how I interpret it. Oh well, still very cool to learn about the tech required to do it. JT
