jtmny1999 Posted February 9, 2005 Share Posted February 9, 2005 Hi has anyone done a z31 non turbo ECU conversion to a 280zx turbo motor I heard the stock 280zxt harness connects to the z31 ECU. The only modifications are to switch some cables around it this truth? I looked at other posts buts it a Z31 turbo swap. GrayZee Posted February 9, 2005 Share Posted February 9, 2005 It can certainly be done (I have a NA ecu in my L28et) However the only problem is that the NA ecu makes the timing advance very rapidly. This would be like playing with fire under boost. I'm willing to bet it will detonate like crazy. However if the ecu is re-tuned for a turbo application then it's no problem.
