jeromio
Wow. That almost looked like some kind of Fast and Furious special effect. The quarter panel actually popped out too. Odd there was no flying debris everyplace.
CruxGNZ
Wow! I have never seen that kind of destruction from a rotory before, I wonder what blew? Made for a hell of a show though ! I felt destructive when I got home today, but after seeing that video, my destructive appetite has been curbed... for now. Thanks Scottie! !M! Scottie-GNZ
Odd there was no flying debris everyplace The only flying debris you would see are body parts. Remember, a rotary has no parts to fly apart
jeromio
I guess I'm thinking like with that much bang, there'd be parts of the housing, the rotor - whatever - flying variously. Can't just be the escape of whatever air pressure inside the crank case that blew the hood AND the quarter panel - right? I mean, there's no flying debris to be seen, so, maybe there ain't none, but, just seems mysterious...

stony
rotary has a eccentric shaft (crank) and to rotors that move... you all know that though ... if the eccentric shaft broke at hi RPM it probably did send a rotor out the side. if you do it in extreme slow motion you can see some stuff coming out of the engine compartment
