caen fred
I have this old BRE kit I plan to fit as soon as I have all the parts... Just miss an other manifold... I am suposed to fit a lubrification system for the turbo, ok! I don't really want to mess with the oil pan removal, been there, done it before and it's just a long pain in the A.. So I was thinking of using an external electric oil pump, and build a close circuit with an oil cooler dedicated to the turbo cooling ? Pro... Con... Clifton
Why complicate things and add a another pump? Pulling a pan isn't that hard.
caen fred
I see a big + It would be easy to start the lubrification before starting the engine... and stop it with a timer... without having the engine runing... not a good idea when your not around! Tim240z
I think you would need an oil heater also. According to Corky Bell, running the engine for an extended time after 'shutdown' is unnecessary if you use a decent oil (synthetic). You would also need another oil tank (albeit a small one). I think the effort to pull the pan is significantly less. Tim
