iflyfast1
At what temp are the cooling fans supposed to come on? My fan comes on at 225 degrees. Seems pretty high. My GM LS1 installallation guide shows it should come on at 212 degrees but that's for a 98 LS1. I've got an 01. I confirmed the dash gauge reading with my scanner so I know what temp the ECU is seeing. What are you guys seeing?
maichor
Same here. I have and '01 as well and it kicks in at 225. For a while, I thought they weren't working because it ran at 220 fine and never seemed to get above that until I drove it hard for an extended period. I am going to reprogram them when I get some tuning done.
DaleMX
I went and looked at my stock 99 PCM with LS1 Edit and the First stage fan is set to come on at 229 and off at 222. The second stage fan is set to come on at 237 and off at 230.
iflyfast1
Thanks for checking. I guess I don't have a problem after all.
Phantom
Mine come on at 160 - unless my water temp gauge has altered itself. It runs right at the mid-point where the original L28 did.
