510six
Is the drive spindle for the 280zxt distributor/oil pump different from a NA distributor?

2126
Yes it is different. Interesting! Could you please explain the difference. I thought all L6 engines had the same oil pump and distributor drive, which as we know is driven by an intermediate shaft, between the oil pump and distributor, off of the crank. GrayZee
The oil pump mounts up the same, the drive gear piece is only different at the top where it connects to the distributor. The N/a model has a single spade offset from the shaft. The turbo model looks more like multi-toothed gear. I'm sure you could mount a turbo distributor on a N/a engine as long as you had the oil pump drive gear to go with it.
Chemicalblue
I have a turbo motor in a na car with the na ecu and dizzy set up. I could be wrong but I believe the oil pump is the same bolt up but the output is higher (to supply the extras). I had to change the shaft and dist. mounting spacer to make it work.
