John Scott
what ever it takes, get the @#$% car done! HeeHee The garage is such a chaotic mess she wants the Z up and running. Progress, hour here and there. Nittos on, Phantom grip in, gas tank replumbed 1/2", solid fuel lines up and back. Pressure adjusted. Some minor front end upgrades, tension rods bushings, steering coupling. Radiator ready. Get to personally bolt it up to the dyno Monday. Should be on the machine for most of the week. silicone boy
Sounds just like my wife, John. I'm in the same boat. I took apart a perfectly adequate, running V8 Z because I wanted more power and a 6-speed. The car's been in a zillion pieces since early June. I've been building a 383, and that has come to a grinding halt because the roller lifters I want are on backorder for 3 months . Wifey wasn't happy to hear this. She really wants her parking space back. I just hope I get done before winter so she'll be satisfied. The way our summer has been going, I'll bet we'll have a snowy winter-she'll be awfully mad if she has to park outside because of me. Since you live in the neighborhood (somewhat), I'd love to see your project when you're done.

She does get the one side to park, but still a big mess. Winter! I don't want to hear the word. Really should get the CO group together for a gathering.John
Phantom
We only have two cars so when I told my wife I was going to V-8 the Z she told me no problem - just drive her Jeep while the Z wsa in the shop. That lasted about 3 days. A week later I bought an '83ZX to drive until the "77 is done. All is bliss now and wife doesn't even mind the $$$$$ this is costing - too much. denny411
In my defense, I should say that one of the cars that I keep in the garage is her MGB. The rest are mine. she would rather have the dismantled cars in the garage and out of the way, than spread all over the yard I am thinning the herd though, so she should be able to park inside by next year
Guest Anonymous
She must be somewhat alright with it, depriving you of certain favors would get her a spot in the garage by weeks end I bet. Regards, Lone
denny411
I suppose if I had too I could clear out an 8'x15' space for her I mean, a guys got to have priorities
silicone boy
I agree with you John, there are a couple of awesone cars here in CO that I would like to see up close. Now, Denny, 5 years? I was thinking that keeping the wife out of the garage for 5 MONTHS might be pushing it. You must have a very understanding spouse.
