Phantom Posted March 29, 2005 Share Posted March 29, 2005 look at the hood latch/release mechanism attached to the firewall and ensure it is fully engaging when you push the hood down. Take about five minutes and stare at it and figure out how it works. Could also be a slight misadjustment in the latch pin position on the hood itself. Synlubes Posted March 29, 2005 Share Posted March 29, 2005 Ck that the cable release is free and not sticking. Ck and make sure the hood is aligned nicely with the fenders. jkube Posted March 29, 2005 Share Posted March 29, 2005 Hey. I had the same problem. Fixed it when I re-installed those black bump rubbers on the sides of the fenders.
