For now, I am using the remaining one of my original 240z stub axles that I've had magnafluxed and one refurbished 240z stub axle bought from the Z Store. I could not find any 280z stubs on short notice. The Chequered stub axles installed and fit perfectly. No they are not used in competition. I have had stock stub axles break under normal daily driving as in the attached picture. The Chequered axles will probably outlast the car.
