midnightzxt
Is there anythink needed to install this over the original MS? Has anyone connected the stock knock sensor to the system? What is necessary? Tim
mobythevan
Extra code works the same as regular MSnS. It just gives more options and larger tables for spark and fuel. If your talking about MSnS versus MS then look at the install sticky. Has anyone tried using the stock knock sensor yet? that is a good question, I haven't
midnightzxt
ok, then that helps. I'm going to have MSnS in the car in a few days, and hopefully I'll be trying out the stock knock sensor. I'm going to have a couple electircal engineers helpin me out on the install. If we are successful, I will post how we got the knock sensor to work. mario_82_ZXT
It is fairly easy, you just need to reinput everything. The tuning software is very nice, and I like it more then the original MSnS setup. I had a problem with mine that it would default spark timing to -80 deg, but after I loaded another config file I had on it, the problem went away. With some rough tuning I was able to drive it to school today! I also want to rewire the stock knock sensor, and I plan on using it for boost control. midnightzxt
wanted to bring this to the top. It's about that time. I would like to know if we can collaborate and try to figure out how to get the sensor to work. What is required, and how to test it. I will be willing to test what I can.
