Henry Fox
Can someone tell me the difference between a turbo or non turbo hood on a 1982 280zx Thanks Henry
Rival5
I think just the driver side hood vent.
240Z2NV
It is generally referred to as a NACA duct. It is the triangular piece toward the front of the car, as part of the driver's side only vent piece. Type in "280ZX Turbo Hood" on eBay, and you should see the difference. Jolane
My 83 Non-turbo also had the NACA looking duct on the drivers side. It was a stock hood as far as I know. I definitely know it was a NA car stock. Maybe 82-83 hoods are the same regardless of aspiration? Joshua
fl327
In 1983 Nissan began emptying parts bins like crazy. Its not uncommon to see a 1983 280zx with the turbo hood scoop, and the cv shaft rear ends.
240Z2NV
I believe that the hood was the same beginning in '82 or '83....as stated, they just used leftovers because the new generation was coming in '84.
