yoogener
Hey all. I got an L28 with triple webs in a '71 240 and i was wondering what the easiest way is to hook up the choke cables. any hints or pictures would be nice. thanks everyone. JMortensen
Have you considered just not hooking them up? With Mikunis most people don't, and some even safety wire the choke shut so that it doesn't vibrate open and change the mixture. Not sure if the Weber system is better or not, but nobody I've known with them has bothered to hook up the choke.
yoogener
hmm... i'll look into that, thanks
briann510
with our Mikunis we dont even have a choke. they fire right up on 35 degree mornings or 85 degree days and idle right away. you shouldnt need the choke and only give the pedal a tap before you crank it over. JMortensen
My Mikunis have a choke. Never seen em that didn't, although that doesn't mean they don't exist.
Drax240z
I've never hooked up or seen a choke hooked up on a dozen or so weber/mikuni/solex cars I've had in my shop... It's really not necessary.
yoogener
So all i need to do is press the throttle, give it some gas, and start it up?
JMortensen
Just like brian said. Push once to the floor, turn the key. At least that's how mine works.
