  1. hah look at his expression! he's a spoiled boy with rich parents, done playing with his snap-on model kit... assembled by other people. im sure he woulda died to be in one of those movies.
  2. The previous owner of my Z had the plate say "KLR240Z". Hmm.... so yeah...
  3. I would give Yorgee benefit of the doubt. The lighting on the surface and the welding (as he mentioned) may throw off the look of the images.
  4. "...but i think that thre are a lot of guys here that have their z's as quick or quicker for a fraction." -JIM73240Z damn right! haha, sorry, just reppin' the best forum on earth.
  5. Awesome! yeah, i wanted to know if carb spray is okay for the wires. thanks guys! -yoog
  6. Does anyone happen to know what cleaning solution works best to get all the gunk off the wires. I am taking apart the engine wiring harness to reorganize, so I would like to wrap the wires after they've been cleaned. Thanks! -yoog
  7. More of a 'lookalike.' I just used Z432 as an example. I was mainly trying to find color opinions for the ride set as my avatar. Correct me if I've mistaken, but I think the airdam design I have on my Z is similar to that of a Z432. Basically a very common setup, but I'm still stuck trying to find a suitable color. If anyone would like to post any nice Z432(-R) photos, please do. Thanks -yoog
  8. horrible line... both of em.
  9. Hey all. Just wondering what some of you think would be a suitable color paint for a Z432 type setup. GO!
  10. with the brief experience that i have, i can say that 71-73 consoles have a very very different design than 74 and on. and i believe 70-71 models share the same design but are different than 72-73. i'm throwing this out so someone else can correct me, which will give me the definite answer. feel free to laugh. -yoog
  11. flapper pads look great with that vinyl... pretty much looks better than factory. hopefully i won't have to go through that pain with the floor heater doors, but i'm prepared to do whatever it takes. great information bjhines, appreciate it. i wish i had a sandblaster but it's way out of my budget. SANDPAPER FTW!
  12. Information greatly appreciated! Thanks! Hopefully soon, a heater restoration thread can be sticky'ed, maybe even this one. KEEP IT COMIN'!!
  13. and... -what type of material to use for vent hoses thx. -yoog
  14. to whom it may concern, i would really love a nice tutorial of heater core and blower restoration, just like this, but steps on things such as: -what type of paint to use -what year civic the blower came from (or any other possibilities) -how to re-wire the electricals for a foreign blower -etc. i'd greatly appreciate a tutorial on this topic, unless one is already out and i was too lazy to find it. thanks to all! -yoog
  15. Just ordered brackets and sliders for my FloFit from this place. My order for just the DRIver's side came out to about $148. I don't know if that's a low price for you guys or not, but it sure beats FloFit original parts (while it lasted). I think I heard the guy wrong because I think he said Wedge Engineering bought out FloFit. Oh well, just threw it out, if anyone else knows what happened to FloFit. Take care, thanks for all your guys' help. http://www.wedgeengineering.net
  16. Wow thanks guys. I'll try out Seat Source or build one as a last resort. I'm just extremely frustrated with fixing other problems; I really don't want to make one. Much appreciation!
  17. Thanks, Davy. Honestly, you made me feel better about having them, haha.
  18. I can't seem to find the website that sells the FloFit seat brackets for 240Z. If anyone is willing to sell their seat bracket or know a website that does sell 'em, please provide to this thread. THANK YOU. For those who ask why in the hell I decided to go with FloFit seats, decisions weren't in my hands. 1) They came with the car; 2) I have no money for better seats; and 3) Rather have these over stock seats. Please help me out, thanks.
  19. The shop that a fellow forum member and I go to often is called MIJU Auto. It's right across from Sunrise Z. Their service is great. They've got one woman which doesn't do any hands on work, but the mechanic (Mike) is a Z genius. If you ever happen to go to Sunrise, drop by MIJU across the street. It's the green shop, and my Z is still sitting there if you wanna take a look.
  20. I have a '71 240z and when I flip on the high beam switch, the warning buzzer for the headlights turn on while the headlights remain in low beam. Has anyone ever heard of this problem before?? I'm sure it's some kind of a wiring problem but I'm stumped on this one.
  21. Hey, lucky i found this, wonder why nobody has replied. I have a set of 40DCOE triple webers and want to down(up)grade to ZT SU's... Do you have any pictures and everything you're including, including the price you are willing to sell for?
