Dynoed the 2JZ again to set AF at Apex

Dynoed the 2JZ again to set AF at Apex Motorsports. I had a 4:30 appointment and I was 20 min early. I had to wait till after 5 to get on the dyno. Then their air filter plastic filter case broke, and they had none. So they tape the thing all up. I did 2 runs then the electonics burnt on the dyno. They said I would only be charged $45 instead of $65. I felt like they owed me money. So we split the difference and I paid nothing but my wasted time. Very unproffessional.

Dyno spot says I am running 12.5

Apex says I am running 11.5

my LM-1 says I am running 10.6 (consistantly)

Who to believe. I am frustrated like crazy. Tuning is a science I need a dyno that is dead on or +/-.3 AFR. I am tired of risking my engines life and wasting my time and money.

Believe me, I for one can feel your pain. This is my quote from my thread in this forum on the "hidden costs" of doing a _________ conversion.....

"2.) GYPSIES,LAIRS.TRAMPS and THIEVES......This cast of characters includes Paint and Body shops, Engine builders, mechanics, Muffler shops, A friend of a friend who is a "guru" on something dealing with your car, Previous Owner of the car you bought to do the conversion on, Low milage engine owners, and anybody with a carb that "it just needs a rebuild kit". This does not mean that everybody in one of these categories is that way but I'm sure you can put a name to some of them....."

If you were closer to me I can vouch for my dyno shop as being "First Rate" and a charge for what happened to you would never been brought up....

No web site at this time, working on it, but here is the info.... Advanced Dyno, 96 Railroad Ave. Suisun City, CA. 707-425-3966 and ask for "H". He does do Sat. by appointment and tell him you are a Hybrid Z member. They have various rates for what you want to do and CALIF. STREET MACHINES is next door , my engine builder.:2thumbs:.

I should add that my set-up is dialed in.....all you have to do is view my dyno run in the Video section....

Try BRG Racing (http://www.brgracing.com). They have a Mustang Dyno (which I believe to be superior to a standard dynojet, because of its abilitly to change the load) and tune with an LM-1 and 5 gas analyser (only useful if you don't have a catalytic converter). Jason does know what he's doing, but be careful of K.C., the owner. He likes to push things.
