cyrus
Why can't we all just get along (coil overs). I have been researching coil overs. I called ground control they we very unhelpful and I was eventually hung up on (accidental I hope), up later emailed. I have read the article in sportZ mag and searched online but Why on earth does the 240Z kit not work on a 240Z? The aurthor tells of using VW rabbit struts for shorter cartridges, or MR struts, and using thr front struts on the rear, etc... Why can't I buy a proper kit? Or a coil over strut instead of threaded sleeves? Do people section struts on an exchange basis. If I just buy the 240Z kit will it work? This is a dual purpose car and will have 4.75 iches of ground clearance. rant rant rant, and another thing...

blueovalz
The 240z insert will work fine with a 240z strut tube. The "other" inserts are for those people, due to a lowered body, that have chosen to use a shorter insert (which is because they needed to shorten the strut tube). Unless you drop the car by more than an inch, and have some weak dampers, then you may be fine with the OEM length inserts.
