We had to cut them out with a grinder and torch the caps to get them off it was hell on my knees and I am dead tired. the good news is it doesnt clunk any more, it still clicks just barely while accelerating you coulnt tell unless you knew when it should happen and were listening for it but its there, probably from the bushings on the mustache bar or maybe that loose differential strap but any how it's done it works I'm taking a nap Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

preith Posted June 17, 2005 Share Posted June 17, 2005 I just rebuilt a halfshaft and had forgotten how difficult they can be. I found it took a lot more patience than I originally thought. While putting them in with a press I found they wanted to get jammed sideways in the bore, and the more you tried to press them in the worse it got.
