Turbo on a L28E?

I bought a 83ZX, i was planning on putting in a KA24DET ( i have a FWD KAT) but now i feel that a L28ET will be enough. My question is a) where can i get rebuild parts from ? Is Arizona Z the only place ? B) What do i need to run a GT40 or a T66 maybe even a SC61 on my L28. I know i need injectors, fuel pump, etc. Is the OEM turbo header the only option next to a custom header ? I searched and found that no one has exhuast manifolds for the Z :( Also how well will the stock auto handle 350-450rwhp.

B) You can either get a custom manifold with the correct flange made or you can have the stock manifold modified to take a new flange. Both will run in the $1000 to $1500 range if you don't have the facilities to do it yourself.

c) Uhhh... I wouldn't count on it. The stock 'automatic'? transmission will have a significantly reduced life expectancy somewhere after about 200 crank horse power.

I would look for a 5-speed, drive shaft and probably an R200 from a donor 280ZX.

83 zx auto or stick should have r200.

to run a turbo the size you are talking about you would either need a custom manifold or have turbo manifold modiified to accept t4 flange and have a external wastegate flange welded up, not impossible to do. Thats just the beginning, havent even started talking about fuel and oil delivery, as well as drivetrain, and etc. etc. etc....

Link for tranny guy. http://www.keas.com.au/products.asp?id=4

He can send you a shift kit that will help you out somewhat. You should rebuild the trans to take any kind of power. Mine gave out with the stock turbo at 14psi after a couple of months. I rebuilt it with a shift kit and it's holding up good so far. I also have the specs to make shift kits if you want to do it yourself.
