2126 Posted July 12, 2005 Share Posted July 12, 2005 You will want to measure the axle length at a position where the axle would be perpendicular to the differential. The perpendicular position will be the shortest the axle will get while driving (axle splines will be compressed). Some additional clearance (less then measured shortest axle length) will be required to prevent binding (splines bottoming out). Are you begining to see whats going on here how?
