Guest Anonymous
I wish I would have thought of that solution. I could have saved a lot of money and been free of tormenting frustration. The Corvette will be a good donar car for the 240 Z.Which engine in the Corvette 350,427 or 454?

Guest Z-rific
Not sure exactly what scale those are, but if they are 1/25, you can buy a Kyosho Mini Z RC Racer and adapt that model's body to the MiniZ and have a great time. Fun little RC cars with tons of mods available.
Phantom
Here we go! Let's see if we can turn a $10 model into a $450 RC! You guys just can't not tinker with things, can you?
Datsun660z
Hey does anyone know the model number on that 240z? i would like to get the hobie shop to one for me. Thanks.
Dan Juday
Now, if you do the motor swap you'll need to get the Toyota 4Runner model to upgrade the brakes. Scope creep, it's not just for real cars anymore.
Guest Anonymous
Get a Cobra kit and convert it into Tomahawk Zee
ZR8ED
Get the seats out out of a rally model car, and drop them in... or do it the hybridz way!.. make your own.. heck paint them on the seats!! Don't forget to lower that Z!.. hehehe also drop on a belly pan! It will be the easiest belly pan install ever! just don't cover it with stickers!! it won't need any more hp after that vette engine goes in! Oh yea, were sick boys alright! who's worse? the guy for buying the models, or us giving him ideas on how to mod it?
Sumo
Been there done that! Problem is it's hard to find aftermarket rims! by the way redrum, they have anymore 240Z kits left?

Guest Z-rific
Okay, that does it. If I find a 240 model around, I'll modify it to fit my MiniZ racer and bring it to the Southeast meet in Georgia in February. We can race it between runs. I'll bet it goes 5 feet faster than any other Z around.
Guest Aaron
I used to play with model cars a lot. Anyone know of a 280zx model available?

Tim240z
I think I need to get a Z body for my 1/10 scale RC racer....belt drive AWD, full bearing, and hot motor....another HybridZ!!! Tim
Guest Z-rific
Okay, found the 240Z at my local hobby shop. Only 13 bucks. And it fits pretty well on my Mini Z racer. And guess what? No rust anywhere! Of course, I'm going to have to trim the wheel wells and lower it a little. Figures. Now should I paint it a mix of bronze and rust colored primer like my Z, or should I paint it the way my Z will look when I can afford a good paint job? ZR8ED
I was.. guess I still am...Kinda heavy into slot cars. I have a 1/32 scale setup using 1/32 Strombecker slot car track/controlers/power. I had as much as 75ft of track set up on two 4x8 sheets of plywood table. Overpasses.. the wack.. took my months to assemble and buy parts/cars from Ebay. I've had the original set since I was just a kid. Big deal right?.. except I hunted on Ebay for quite a while and really had to duke it out for a slot car... a blue 260Z!!! It can't hold a candle to my FLY cars, but I sure enjoy drving it... sliding the tail around corners! I now have almost 200ft of track..but it is all packed up from my move..and will stay packed till I settle into another place with lots of room. It sure kept me busy all winter... took me weeks just to paint all my scale pit crews/spectators. Anyone ever see a 1/32 scale Z? please direct me to one. I'd like to drop it on one of my FLY chassis...hmm maybe my Panoz FLY car? hehe Talk about traction.. magnets front and back..the FLY car really haul!!!
