Guest ON3GO
hey guys.. not sure if im on the right path but maybe somebody can help me out. i was told i need to run the 300zx Z31 turbo or later model maxima's Dual Pickup in the dizzy in my 280zx turbo dizzy for my standalone system (Microtech). im putting a Microtech in my Blue Z now and im trying to get everything in order so i can install everything, get it running on the base map and drive it to SEZ. if thats true and thats what i need, it should just be a bolt part.. (?) now i gotta find one if its all true, so far a new one at my cost is 177 bucks.. gotta find cheaper then that! mike
Bernardd
Most likely you just need to swap the chopper wheel from the z31 dizzy to the turbo L28ET. Other than the wheel difference both dizzy's have the same guts and produce the same signal depending on the wheel inside. Bernard
datsunlover
As far as I know, the only Z to ever have a 'dual pickup' distributor, was the 75-76 280z.... (My 75 had one, I swaped it out for a better zx unit) So.. yah, what he said.
