ZXRockie
Hello everyone, My friend From WA just drop his 300ZX in my garage for me to do his swap after his timing belt went down to hell damaging the valve and pistons. I bought a JDM VG30DETT set up, meaning: tranny, wires, ECU, and some of the piping, his car is a VG30DE. I'm taking the engine out today and the TT is ready to be swap. I would post PIcs as soon as my wife comes back from vacation with the camera. What I need from anyone is the Vacuumm hoses diagram for the VG30DETT. If anyone has a format please post. Thank you all ahead of time.
Owen
I thought the VG30s were free-wheeling and never had piston to valve contact? Anyway, try twinturbo.net (most likely faq section) or courtesyparts.com for diagrams. You can also download the entire service manual in PDF format, just do a search on tt.net for the link. mtcookson
the only VG's that i know of that aren't an interference design are the VG30E's in the nissan, ford, and mercury vans. pretty sure that's right.

Owen
OK, here's the online version... http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi
Owen
Here's the pdfs, http://www.poctum.com/default.asp?p=Z32Manual I would download all these just in case they disappear. I printed the whole damn thing out at work using double sided printing and it still filled a thick 3 ring binder! Owen

Owen[/quote'] about this part here, his mechanic told him that, I just gave him the idea of swaping cause it would be cheaper and less work for him and I end up doing it. I would save it also... good one! thanks again... another question, do you know if the N/a intake manifold is the same as the TT. the Jdm one is all right to left deal... jdm go figure.. I'm not sure what you mean about right to left, but from what I've read, the NA manis are the same as turbo. If you've got all that stuff off, might want to do a search on TTnet. for water hose mods, etc. to the manifold. Owen
mtcookson
Hmm,thought I read the DETT was too? i'm pretty sure it would be an interference design. unless the dish in the piston for the lower compression helps, i'm not positive though. VG30E VG30ET VG30DE VG30DETT All of these are interference engines.
mtcookson
yeah, i thought that's how it was. the VG30E in the Nissan and Ford/Mercury vans using the Nissan engine are non-interference though.
