chopstic
Im trying to fit some seats from a 91 honda civic into my 78 280z. I started with the passenger side and adapted the datsun rails to the honda seat and it fit in there like a dream, but on the drivers side theres a big ol bulge getting in the way. i want to cut the bulge out of the tunnel and weld it flat like the passenger side. it looks like there will still be enough room for the exhaust to travel through the tunnel even with it being narrowed a bit. has anyone done this to their z? Mayolives
Yes, it is an easy fix. We cut a portion out of my 78 and replaced it with a "flatter" one. You could take a hammer to it, if you can live with the results.
