EvilC
Mg Alloys are have every worked with them. I am doing an internship and have been doing research and fatigue testing of many alloys. Just would like to get input from someone who may know something I don't. Thanks
TheNeedForZ
The only thing I know about them is that most workshops refuse to grind/polish Mg alloys. Mg particles accumulate on the grinding/buffing disk. Under the right circumstance the disk can explode.
2126
Its light, very stiff, and will burn quite well!
EvilC
LOL yes I know. The testing I am doing is for the fatigue life of the alloys under cycle loading with and without corrosive applications. The testing is funded by GM and a few other big companies. We the school have a contract to do the research and testing. I am just thinking outside the box here and figure maybe someone has worked with it before. dr_hunt
Yeah, but if I told you, then I'd get in trouble for revealing govt. secrets. I can tell you it's been tested 14 ways from sunday by the govt. for many uses.
