True School 240Z
I hope all my Z brethren are doing well. A few of you know me. I've been out of it as of late. Anyway I am joining the few and proud four bangin Z's out there. SR20DET in my lightweight '73. On that note I have a killer L28 with triple mikunis that I'd like to sell, so check in the classified section soon. I hope to get these photos scanned and such. Peace. Guest PROJECTRB240SX
When You Do The Swap You Are Going To Have To Alter Your Front Suspension Pretty Drastically.... You'll End Up Taking/moving Over 200lbs Off The Nose Of The Car, So If You Have A Heavy Front Suspension Designed For The Heavy L Series You May Have To Do Some Modifications. Just Looking Out.... True School 240Z
I've already thought of the weight issue. The whole front end is fiberglass, so it's even lighter than just a 200lb difference. I'll make adjustments as necessary. It's definitely a whole new ball game. I'm open to suggestion. As far as tracks, I intend to test it out at every So. Cal practice possible. -L.
Guest PROJECTRB240SX
I'm Going To Go With 150 F: 200 R Spring Setup On My 2310lb 240z W/ 48:52 Wd. I'm Going To Try For My Aggressive Street Car: LOWERED 2" FROM STOCK -1.75 Front Camber : -1.5 Rear Camber 5 Degrees Caster 1/16" Toe Out Front : 1/8" Toe In Rear 1" Front Sway Bar : 7/8" Rear Sway Bar And Slot The Crossmemeber For 0 Bump Adjustment Of Course For Road Racing Its A Different Story But I Think This Will Cure Most Of The Push When Driven Aggressively And Make The Car Handle Alot Better.
