Lunar240z
I just bought my "1972" 240z for $1,000. hehe http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y98/hansonicochico/MYDATSUN008.jpg take a look at the vents...this was advertised as a 1972 z the only thing that was bad was some rust under the battery and on the pass floor, the framerails were pretty solid thogh. it's an auto so i'm gonna switch it out to a 5speed, and this thing will see an l28et sometime in the future... now i need a job.... http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y98/hansonicochico/ sorry no pics of the engine yet... TheNeedForZ
Good find. I've only seen those twice in person so far.
Pop N Wood
take a look at the vents...this was advertised as a 1972 z Might be a 1971 manufactured car registerd as a 72 (the year it sold). Should say the month and year it was made on the door jamb.
2003z
maybe they swapped out hatches sometime in its history. Nevertheless, congrats!
TheNeedForZ
Not just a hatch swap, the emblem behind the quarter window says "240z" instead of the common (Z) in a circle.
240hoke
Thats definitly an early car. I have a 1971 240z and it has the vent emblems on the c pillar. The period between 71 and 72 got kinda mushy with which cars has what but as far as i know the 240z emblem is a sign of a 70-early71 car. Let us know when it was made!
