Guest daewoo
Where do Aussies source these motors. I am interested in doing a conversion into a 260Z for an rally/clubsport car. Still trying to get my head around the options without asking the same silly questions. I ask because my years building rally cars has taught me that those in the know save $$$. If anyone points me to Adelaide Jap I will scream... The guy has ripped off half the rally competitors in Australia, including me to the tune of $600 despite him being (at the time) chairman of the SA rally panel . Be very cautious dealing with him. Thanks Daewoo
z_cars_rule
seeing as you are located in sydney give SSS Automotives a bell, they have a good variety of stock.
Guest daewoo
Thanks for that... I have dealt with SSS before, they know thier stuff but are usually pretty pricey... I would have thought that Qld would be the place to source this stuff as their import market seems to be a lot larger than us poor southern states... Anyone import the stuff themself??? Cheers, Daewoo
drunkenmaster
The motors are dirt cheap in Japan, if you have the patience to organise all the shipping and customs yourself you can save a bit. Other wise you are stuck with the import wreckers like everyone else. Actually I would probably buy an RB privately from skylinesaustralia.com forums before a wrecker. pitty
heya all, just arrived at hybrid z. bin reading the forums for a while now n decided that maybe i could help with this one, so i signed on. this is just an aussie import site i found in my travels, located in Vic, might be of help mate? http://www.upimports.com.au
Guest Zpeed
upi is supposed to be reputable, but they are good for changeover stuff as that stuff is cheap, like swapover Rb35det is 3k, but you need all the other stuff in a halfcut which is 4.5k, which starts to get expensive... try look in the yellowpages for jap wreckers in ballarat, bit of a drive, but i got qoute 1k for a R34GTS front cut, a year ago, which is nice and decent price/.. and rb20det front for only 1.7k... check skylinesaustralia for privite for RBs as drunkenmaster said

Cheers' date=' Daewoo[/quote'] Find a new friend who is a resident in Japan to bid on yahoo auctions for you. http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m20787401 Otherwise negotiate with an importer who can do this for you, but organise freight yourself: http://www.rampant.net.au
