jt1
Looking great! It's always nice to see progress. You are a better man than me to drop in a motor+trans with the radiator and distributor in!!!!!!!! John
v80z
JT1 Well after doing twice with it in I decided to cut all the crap out so it just slides in.

80LS1T
I also think your going to have to move those hard lines away from the header otherwise your probably going to have vapor lock issues with the fuel. Otherwise, Nice Job! Guy
v80z
80LT1 You are right. They are removed. Now it is time to fab the transmission mount and measure for a dive shaft. Instead of buying the chevrolet differential yoke has anyone mated a chevy driveshaft with a z shaft?
awd92gsx
Ahh...you got the wrong style Ebay headers Those are the ones made by Hotzone...the other style fit just as perfect as any other name brands I've seen. Let me know and I can show you which ones you need to get (and I've been running for about 4-5 months without any problems)
v80z
I have inevitably bought the wrong everything. SO if anybody want some of the wrong parts I have a good inventory. I had to heat those headers and drift them with a 5 lb maul just to get the clearance for the spark plugs. Go figure. Anyway my goal is to get it on the road. Then improve it. Instead of buying the chevrolet differential yoke has anyone mated a chevy driveshaft with a z shaft? You dont want to have the Z driveshaft since it is smaller and has smaller u-joints. You want to buy a driveshaft that fits in your tranny and then have it shortened and put the spicer adapter(do a search for the specific part number) the other end. DavyZ
Looking good. Hey, I know about the "wrong parts." I have purchased more do nothing parts that look good then I care to admit, but I wish I had spent the money on stuff that would help me do the whole conversion correctly the first time.
