Realistic HP ##

Okay guys, I know this is small time for you guys but I was wondering if my 2.4 is capable of 200rwhp. I know I should of done a 2.8 and I won't even admit that I sold a 2.8trbo that i had (oops), but I had already thrown money at the original motor before I found the turbo car. I am doing a total rebuild with .40 over pistons and balancing the complete assembly. I am oversizing to l28 valves on the e-88 head with mild porting and port matching. A stage 2 cam, stainless valves, header, electronic ign, dual exhaust, SU's. I know if I was wanting bigger ## I should have gone a different direction but I think 200hp would make me very happy with this car. Maybe the next project I will have the knowledge from all you guys to go for big horsepower.

you sould consider going to a higher compression ratio and a more extreme cam. That is the only way you will get to your 200hp goal on N/A. Also, do the standard mods such as 3.9:1 rear diff, lightweight flywheel, maybe lose some weight on the car itself? That will make the car feel faster.

Thanks olie05, I know 200 is very optimistic and I do intend on raising CR to the premium pump gas limit. IF later down the road i put together a stroker with my worked e-88 I wonder what the hp would be for the increased displacement?MAN- i wish I kept that turbo
