Jersey
Putting the '88 LSD in my cousins '78 tonight and i remembered i snapped the socket that i used the last time i took a pinion flange off. Anyone know the size of the nut and what the torque on it should be? Just would like to stop on the way home from work and pick it up rather then having to run out again. Thanks in advance. zcarnut
27mm hex flange nut. Tighten to 137 to 159 ft-lbs. Then check preload with inch-pound torque wrench. It should be around 30 inch-pounds.
Jersey
Got it, thanks zcarnut. Unbelievable difference from the 3.54 open to the 3.7 LSD. I need to get me one of these!
