DemonZ
Bose car active suspension. It surely will be more comfy, but wonder how well it would be for performance, on a race car, or even F1 http://www.automobilemag.com/news/0410_bose_bumps.wmv

mom'sZ
A few years back, Honda ran their F1 cars with active suspension in F1. They kicked butt and by the following year all the top teams had to follow suite. The FIA promptly made it illegal. By then it was to late, the genie was out of the bottle. Using what they had learned, the teams were able to make their regular spring and damper suspensions act more active... ish. Anyhow, I don't think the mechanical part of the system is that hard to create, it's the black box where the magic is created. Can't remember the driver's name, but a favorite quote when asked what would happen at the start of the race in those days, "if our software is better then their software, we'll make it to the first corner first". tube80z
Bose car active suspension. It surely will be more comfy, but wonder how well it would be for performance, on a race car, or even F1 Active suspension doesn't defy the laws of physics at the end of the day weight will still transfer. It does offer extraordinary control of how that transfer is proportioned and that is the key. I seriously doubt anyone will offer a retrofit kit ever. The software would need to be fine tuned to each application (car, tire, use, etc.). A basic Motec data logger that has the minimum amount of channels to do this will set you back at least $5k. So it is interesting but probably not of much use to us. Cary
