Tekira
Hi, I am changing my slave and masters out and purchased the adjustable slave. I still have the later fork installed (without hole). Are there any major differences between the early and later forks besides the hole? I am thinking all i have to do is drill a hole in the fork. Will this work properly? JMortensen
Both forks are straight and the same size. The manual adjust slave uses a return spring on it which you're probably missing, and the fork has a little hole at the end to hook the spring on, then it hooks to the slave cylinder at the other end. The end of the manual adjust pin has a big round head on it. The non-adjustable one uses a much smaller diameter pin. So the non-adjustable fork might have a smaller dented section for the pin to ride in. I know my brother-in-law Matman has a couple of the early style. Might be a good idea to just buy one from him. 510six
The dented or concave section in the non adjustable fork is actually larger than the non adjustable one. This is due to a larger ball shaped piece that fits into the throw out bearing fork.I would use all the pieces together.
