300zxRB26
Alright so I'm replacin my rear main seal, throw out bearing, and clutch. Because of course rear main seal went and we all know if we get motor oil in our tranny thats no good. So i was trying to get my exhaust off and where it meets the downpipe off my turbo it will not break free. I've tried tapping the downpipe to break the rust free but it won't budge. Would it be easier to just take the downpipe off with the exhaust because it has to come off to replace the studs on the downpipe anyway. Any suggestions? Cruez
Try some PBlaster and let it soak in overnight... then try heating it, and removing it with an impact wrench... in that order.
300zxRB26
well i have the flange off but its where the exhaust pipe actually hits the downpipe its like it rust welded itself to the down pipe ive tried prying, liquid wrench, but im gonna try heating it tommorrow and hopefully i dont have to resort to the impact hammer.
