Lewis Maudlin
OK, I messed up. I was putting in all new Autometer gauges and did not mark the ones that went to the fuel gauge. There is a black, green and yellow. I would assume that the black is a ground. This would make the yellow or the green the ignition. The other would go to the fuel sensor. I am going to use the ground and the ignition on the new temp gauge. Does anyone know or have a book that tells? I would appreciate any help. Thanks. 240hoke
are you talking about the stock nissan wires? If so i think you may run into an issue running the factory fuel sender. The fuel gauge is marked on the back as to what should go where. If those three wires you have are coming from the factory harness you just need to use your multimeter. Check from voltage on the ignition wire and then use resistence to check the other wires and gfind out where they go.
jaime240z
IIRC on my 72 the yellow was the one for the sender. Green is 12v power.

Georgia Flash
Lewis, On my 76 the green is the ignition wire just as Jamie said. Just hooked my Auto Meter gages up the other day. Now to make a custom pod for two more gages
