Mike Rowe Posted January 5, 2006 Share Posted January 5, 2006 Hi guys, I want to fit a remote oil filter to my RB motor when fitted to my 240Z - has anyone done this and/or does anyone know where I can get one. PeterZ Posted January 5, 2006 Share Posted January 5, 2006 I think the oil filter for a Z is the same as for a Ford engine (Fram PH8A) so the adapter will need to match the engine threads (verify per 260DET), the remote filter can be whatever you choose. 260DET Posted January 6, 2006 Share Posted January 6, 2006 The half cage is made from cold drawn steel, it was designed to provide some rollover and side protection but designed mainly to stiffen up the rear of the body and so improve handling. CAMS have gone all stupid, they only approve FIA compliant full cages now but I don't compete in events which require an approved cage anyway. Any of the universal kits have the correct fittings. My beef with the universal kits(available from Summit or Jegs) is the lines are too small.
