FEnatic
I found an E31 on a car in the junkyard and was wondering if I should pull it to sell? Do these have any value over the E88's? Thanks
katman
35 year old combustion chamber shape technology and probably already been butchered by a cheap valve job. The only place these heads are worth anything is in SCCA's ITS racing class where 240Z's are constrained to E31 and E88 heads, and in that class the rare E31 combustion chambered E88 is King. I wouldn't bother.
zcarnut
In terms of monetary value I have seen the E31 head fetch up to $135 (“as isâ€) on eBay whereas the E88 goes for as low as $25. I have both a spare E88 and E31 head on my spare parts shelf. I always keep an eye on these heads when they appear on eBay.
