Guest HBZ81 Posted January 16, 2006 Share Posted January 16, 2006 i just need to say that i realize i have made some posts on here that some people may not like. if you feel this way please PM me about it first, we will discuss it, and if i dont do anything about it then message the mods/admins because really that is the adult thing to do, confront the problem head on then go seek help. we're suppossed to be adults here so if you do not like some posts then just close the window and message me. I know some posts i've made aren't nearly as bad as some i've seen which have had soooo many more responses. And let me add this: If you're surfing the web and accidently come across and porn site do you message your ISP and complain about how dare they let a porn site get acessed by your computer? No, you just close and window and go on your way! Drax240z Posted January 16, 2006 Share Posted January 16, 2006 Sorry, that's not the way things work here. This is not a democracy, and there is not free speech. The people that pay for and run this site get to dictate how it operates on a day to day basis. For the most part, 5000+ people have been fine with this. In my experience there are very few people that think our rules are over the top, or that we are heavy handed. A post of his was reported to us as inappropriate and we chose to remove the thread. Daniel is stating that he wants people offended by his posts to contact him offline. However, it doesn't work that way. People don't like confrontation and would just rather "report" a post to the admins and moderators. What it boils down to is IF you think the post you are about to make is marginal, or NOT suitable for the site, then don't make it. If it is in poor taste, borderline sexual content, political in nature, or otherwise offensive, then simply don't make it. A lot of guys here have kids running around in the same room while they are surfing. It is the nature of being a parent. They also have spouses who might be offended. They also may just be offended by the material. Bottom line is if a post is reported, we're probably going to remove it. If it isn't reported, but seems like it will go down a certain path (Given past history) then it will likely be locked or removed. We're not going to debate this, and we're not going to justify it. We simply don't have to. It is what it is. There are 80million other sites out there to deal with, so go there to post your offhanded humor or comments.
